(Las Vegas, NV, July 8, 2020) – The SecurityTronix ThermScan™ accurately and instantly scans a forehead surface temperature and alerts by audible and visual alarm if an elevated temperature above 99.1° F (37.3°C) is detected. The intent is not to diagnose, but to raise awareness for the user. As states and communities are re-opening, these non-contact temperature assessment devices can be used as part of the initial check at entry points to identify people with elevated temperatures and encourage them to seek proper triage for their symptoms. This unit operates from 1 to 3 inches from the forehead, and in extensive testing has never needed a subject to come in actual contact with the measurement sensor opening, unlike other units that claim to be non-contact.
The SecurityTronix ThermScan eliminates the expense of hiring an employee with a hand-held device. A business can hire someone to stand at entry points, outfitted in full PPE, and take the temperature of everyone arriving, but this could end up costing the company thousands of dollars.
Something to think about—If the business is a 24/7 facility, there would be a need of 5 employees for a week, including coverage for breaks. Add to that cost the disposable PPE that needs to be provided for all of them. Save your customers thousands of dollars by eliminating manual screening and making ThermScan your first point of non-contact entry.
ThermScan units are lightweight, 0.77lbs (350g), compact 6.69 x 4.52 x 5.51” (170x115x140mm) and can be mounted with screws (included), double sided tape (included), or on a tripod (sold separately). They include USB – DC 5V Power supply.
